Biography

Faicel Chamroukhi received his Master of Engineering degree from Paris 6 University in 2007 in Signals Systems Images and Robotics. He completed his Ph.D. in Probabilistic Machine Learning and Data Analysis in December, 2010 in the Computer Science Department at Compiègne University of Technology, France. Since September 2011, he is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Southern University of Toulon-Var and the Information Sciences and Systems Laboratory, (LSIS) UMR CNRS 7296. His research interests include statistical learning, latent data models, functional data analysis, signal and image processing and content-based information retrieval. In 2012, he organized the special session Unsupervised model-based learning (UBML) from high dimensional and functional data in the International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN) which happened in Brisbane, Australia.
