About:

Hi and welcome on my website! I am since sept. 2016 Full Professor of Statistics and Data Science at the University of Caen, Lab. of Mathematics Nicolas Oresme (LMNO), UMR CNRS 6139, and the department of Mathematics and Computer Science. In Sept. 2022 I obtained a secondment to join the technological research institute IRT SystemX, The Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) of Paris-Saclay (Non-Profit Organization) whehre I am scientific head of Data Science and Aritificial Intelligence. I've been Visiting Professor (from jun. to sep. 2019) at the University of Queensland, Department of Mathematics, working with Geoff McLachlan and recently (from sep. 20 to jan. 21) Adjunct Visiting Professor at La Trobe University, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, working with Hien D. Nguyen. From 2011 to 2015, I've been Aissistant and then Associate Professor of Computer Science & Machine Learning at University of Toulon, department of Computer Science, and the Information Sciences and Systems Lab (LSIS), UMR CNRS 7296. From 2007 to 2011, I've been Lecturer and then Assistant Professor (ATER) at Paris 13 University, Department of Computer Science & Machine Learning team of LIPN UMR CNRS. In 2015-2016, I was awarded a CNRS leave for research, at the Lab of Mathematics Paul Painlevé, UMR CNRS 8524, and have been a Visiting Scientist at INRIA Modal, in Lille and in 2019-2020 I was awarded a CRCT (CNU) semester leave for research. I defended my Accreditation to Supervise Research/Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches, in computer science and applied mathematics, at Toulon University, in December 2015, my Ph.D. thesis, in the same area, at Compiègne University of Technology, and Heudiasyc UMR CNRS 7253 and IFSTTAR labs, in December 2010, and obtained my Master degree in Information Processing and Engineering, in June 2007 from PARIS 6 (Pierre and Marie Curie) University. My primary research interests include statistical inference and machine learning, latent variable models and unsupervised learning in high-dimensional and large-scale scenarios.
